First I would like to give credit where credit is due. None of this would have been possible without the vast wealth of knowledge and experience that we know as THE twinturbo.net! Thanks to all. This has been a labor of love and a dream of mine ever since I owned my first NA back in 1994. To own a TT and create a masterpiece. Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but a best in class trophy, last pic, in my first and only car show on Labor Day made me swell with pride. Here is a run down of what has been done since I purchased this cream puff for $13,500 in stock form. Interior : RECARO Sportline Seats ($2,100) in 2 tone Charcoal Jersey/Grey Suede, with matching RECARO grey Suede interior panels done by Imports Extreme ($800). MOMO accessories include shift nob and boot, e-brake and boot, foot controls and grid plates($400+/-). Stock short shift mod that works like a dream($0). SIMPSON "Platinum Series" racing harnesses and a custom harness bar with halon fire extinguisher mount (around $800 all together). The center piece is the PIONEER Avic N1 with DVD, CD, MP3, GPS Navigation, and XM receiver. IT also has a vehicle dynamics display for g-forces both lateral and linier, volt meter, speed, compass, grade or angle with provisions for auxiliary inputs, very cool !. Powered by a KENWOOD 1200 watt amp driving 4 POLK-MOMO 6.5" speakers front and rear and a 12" POLK-MOMO sub in custom enclosure retaining complete use of hatch back storage space. ($3,800 total in sound system) Window Graphics ($215), paid for by the stereo shop. Initially I was skeptical but they have grown on me and I get nothing but positive feedback on them, especially the old school (circa 1991) Pioneer logo with the large Icon on the inside giving a ghost image from outside. Performance mods: POWERTRIX tension rods ($169), POWERTRIX adjustable front upper control arms($360), STILLEN intake, UR underdrive pulley set($320), BREMBO drilled and slotted rotors($280). RPS Sport 6 puck clutch($450), RPS Segmented Aluminum Fly Wheel ($425), GREG DUPREE split down pipes ($425), GREG DUPREE test pipes ($360), LABREE X-Pipe cat back ($850), ASH-SPEC ECU chip($240), Tying it all together is the BLITZ SBC-I Color Boost controller ($710). Incredible control unit with endless options and expandable aux inputs with LCD gauge displays for boost, oil pres, oil temp, and Air-Fuel ratio as well as a a HP meter which comes in very handy to measure the results of any mods you may do. ($2000 +/-) for installation of performance parts. Estimating around 410HP at the crank, 370 whp at 15 lbs boost, given stage charts and feedback from the tuning experts I've worked with. Motor is completely stock with 57,000 original miles. The car shows the care that has been taken with 95% of the original paint still in pristine condition. Front fascia, rockers and rear wing seem to be the only thing ever painted on this car. I know I am forgetting some things and most $ figures are estimates but it was a real wake up call when I looked back and added everything up. Worth every penny and every hour! I have had an itch to move on to another project, RX-7 to be specific. Every time I drive my Z, which is daily weather permitting, I fall in love all over again but I have taken this project where I wanted and think it may be time to move on. More than likely this car will go on the market this winter. I think it will be extremely difficult to let her go and it will take some time and commitment, but this car could only be sold to a true enthusiast who will cherish it as much as it deserves. The Z32 is truly a timeless classic and this is one of the finest examples you'll find, deserving only the best in ownership. This must be a lot like walking your daughter down the isle. Sorry, I'm starting to tear up... Enjoy !!!
